This year is a very Special Year as Cub Scouting is 100 Years old.
To celebrate, the 21st Ilkeston (All Saints) Cub Pack had a Thanks Party and invited some of their past leaders and all the people / various organisations that have so generously donated funds to their Pack over the past few years.
The room was set out as a camp site. The evening started with introductions followed by the Grand Howl and Flag Break. Then some games followed by mapping, knotting and a quiz! But the evening would not have been complete without having a good old sing song with many of the Cubs favourite camp fire songs, this was also lead by a past leader Baloo. Following that they all enjoyed a good buffet and the cubs had made camp fire biscuits.
Akela then invested four new cubs and presented all who attended with a special Thank You badge. Further badges were awarded to the two Young Leaders who had completed missions, Alex Baker (Bagheera) had achieved mission one, and Tom Barratt (Jacalya) missions three and four. This completed Tom’s training so he was also awarded his Young Leader Belt which you gain once all the modules and missions have been completed. Well done Tom.
As you can see from the photo we had cake and this was cut by our past ADC Cubs, Keith Hooley and our current ADC Cubs, Louise Barber.
